The breakfast didn’t look good, and there was no fruit. The property was old, worn, and poorly maintained, so don’t trust the photos. The facilities were in very bad shape, with stains on the walls, old furniture, and questionable pillows. I had a major argument with the host, whom we never actually met in person. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

The shower head was broken, and hot water turned cold after about three seconds. The shower drain was clogged and water wouldn’t go down. The poor customer service was the final straw.

A really lovely room, and the service was great too. It’s close to the airport, and the room itself was big, clean, and nice to look at 🥰🥰🥰🫰🫰🫰

We used FCO as our hub and stayed here three times for short overnight stops. It was quiet, comfortable, and spotless, and the price worked for us. The room could use a little TLC, though nothing major: one light needs to be properly fixed back onto the wall. Everyone we met, including the drivers, was super friendly and helpful. Alessia was excellent to deal with. Pickups from FCO were easy to arrange on WhatsApp, communication was really good, and the transport set up through Alessia was reasonably priced and good. There’s plenty to do on foot nearby. The building is a few blocks from the waterfront, with lots of beachside restaurants. We walked along the seafront, followed the river, crossed the bridge, and explored the other side too. There are tons of restaurants, plus a good bakery, grocery shop, and dollar-type store within easy walking distance. Breakfast is self-serve in the covered patio or indoors, overlooking the garden. There’s milk, juice, coffee, tea, a small cereal selection, fresh fruit, packaged croissant-style sweet rolls, another sweet baked item, and large packets of “melba” toast with jam.

The part that really stood out was how kind everyone was. Our flight was an hour late, so I let the owner know; she was understanding and handled it in a way that didn’t add to our stress. When we got to the airport, someone was already waiting outside for us, even though we thought we might have to wait 5-10 minutes. The driver was so nice and insisted on carrying our bags. After a tour of the house, we were given a key. One of my kids broke it, and I was nervous about telling the owner, but she was lovely and brought us a replacement in about 30 minutes. Breakfast was great too, especially the cookies my kids liked. This is by far the best guest house I’ve ever stayed in. Thanks, ALESSIA, for such a wonderful stay ❤️
