La casa di Mimma

A very clean place in an excellent spot, close to an extraordinary beach.

We booked a holiday room in February after seeing photos. It didn’t look like anything special, but it was near the sea. So arriving on May 28, 2023 to find it filthy was a shock. Basic things were missing: no kettle, iron, chopping board, or knives, just spoons and forks and one saw. My friend and I decided to leave the next day. Mrs. Mimma said we had to pay for the whole stay even if we left the apartment. She took €600, and we never saw her again. The ground-floor apartment was shaded by a blind and dark even in daytime, so we kept the lights on. The sea is 200 meters away as the crow flies, but the discos there go on every day until 10:00 PM. 1:00 a.m., making it hard to fall asleep earlier. Across the small street, a bar opens very early, so sleeping later isn’t easy either. The photos show what it was supposed to look like compared with what we found. When we raised the difference between the photos and reality, Mrs. Mimmy replied: “Instead of that useless sofa, there's a fold-out sofa, and the carpet is removed for the summer because you go to the beach, and it still collects dust. For God's sake, I leave it alone, otherwise I might say goodnight too much. We're by the sea, and these are apartments for a seaside vacation. There's Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a washing machine, and the laundry consumption is all inclusive. And 60 euros seems excessive. Next time, look for a place where you pay less and get more. I'm very satisfied, but I'm sure you'll never find it. Anyway, I've had enough of your criticism and your negative attitudes. If you go on vacation again and find a cheaper and nicer apartment, let me know I'll be back too.” There was no response to our comments. Staying here is a wasted vacation.

The apartment is lovely and very clean, with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and a balcony that wraps around the whole place. The sea view from it is wonderful, with a breathtaking panorama and a fairytale sunset. The owner is kind and helpful, and makes you feel at ease right away. If you’re coming to this area, you have to choose Casa di Mimma. Compliments!

A comfortable apartment with good furnishings and an excellent view of the sea. It’s in a great spot for getting to everyday amenities. Highly recommended!
