Villa Gisi

This spot is very handy for an early departure or a late arrival at FCO, and there’s parking too. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished, and had a huge terrace overlooking a pretty garden where we saw parakeets in a tree. There was nice art on the walls, and the B&B was spotless. The staff helped book a local restaurant when we checked in. We got a good night’s sleep, had a decent enough breakfast, and were back on the road. Villa Gisi gets full marks from me, and I’d definitely stay again.

Carlos recommended a great restaurant for dinner, and check-in was personal, with excellent service and attitude. We got parking and breakfast in the price, which made it good value for the area. The room was large and spacious, very clean, and came with a huge balcony that we didn’t use since we were there for just one night before our flight. Highly recommended.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Carlo was rude and disrespectful, starting when I asked for a receipt after paying for the room. He seemed annoyed, though I needed it for my records. I was visiting family and friends in Italy, and my plans weren’t fixed, so I asked whether an unforeseen change would mean a cancellation penalty. He said no. When an unexpected event changed our plans, I wrote to cancel and request a refund. He sent a nasty message saying I was uncivil and uneducated for canceling the day before. If there was a 24-hour rule, he should have explained it clearly. He told me I could cancel, then spoke nastily when I did. He later promised a refund but tried to avoid giving it. I contacted my bank and sent screenshots of our messages where he had promised no cancellation fee and a full refund. I got my money back. This man was unprofessional, condescending, and downright nasty.

Carlo gave us the best service I’ve ever had. I had a really great time, and the whole experience was perfect. Thanks so much for everything!
