AC Hotel Firenze by Marriott

The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices for a day out, and the bar and restaurant service was very good. The hotel is clean and well managed, with comfortable, roomy rooms. It’s outside the old town, but an easy walk gets you there, and the T1 line is a short stroll away. We had a wonderful stay, and the staff were helpful and kind. I’d recommend it for Florence.

The AC Firenze team handled a complicated schedule of three stays across five days, along with requests to receive mail and store personal items, and everything went smoothly. Andrea made a great first impression at check-in, warm and capable, and the bar and breakfast staff were just as helpful. There’s street parking on both sides of the hotel, electric charging, and paid parking below. As a Titanium member, I recognize service that goes above and beyond, and this team understands it. This is a practical, fairly standard Marriott, with a gym and bar that are handy if you want to relax at the hotel. The room was average in size, neither cramped nor particularly spacious, and the whole place felt functional rather than memorable. The train station is about a seven-minute walk away, which is manageable with light bags, but heavy suitcases would make a taxi useful, especially on arrival or departure. I felt a little uneasy on the nearby street at night, where some people looked suspicious, so walking alone late could feel slightly unsafe. It’s a reasonable choice for brand consistency and basic amenities, though the atmosphere and location don’t stand out.

The room was clean and tidy, and having a bathtub was a nice touch. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with fresh, good-quality options for a standard continental spread. We also ordered room service on arrival, and the food was pretty good, especially the lasagna, though I forgot to take a photo. The catering staff were friendly, and there are several Peruvian restaurants nearby. The downsides were the roughly 30-minute walk to the city center, a view of old, run-down buildings, and reception staff who seemed less welcoming than the catering team.
