Affittacamere Alba

The staff were helpful and spoke good English, and the room stayed peaceful despite being close to the main railway station. The windows face the courtyard, and there's a good supermarket nearby. The Dome and Santa Maria Novella Church are close too. The room has an old-fashioned look, a little balcony that's too cold to enjoy properly, and a huge bathroom. There's a fridge, TV, and kettle, but not much cutlery or storage. The kitchen has a microwave, though the electric stove doesn't work. Check-in is at hotel Berne, where the lift is so tiny that two people with luggage can barely fit. The lift at the actual place is much better. I really recommend it!

The WiFi was a bit slow and I couldn't keep a steady connection. Apart from that, the apartment-style room was clean, nice, and spacious. You may need to borrow something from the other hotel, and getting in touch is by phone. Breakfast is more like snacks, with water, juice, and milk.

The room was spacious and clean, but if you're staying alone, be prepared to feel on your own since there are no staff around the room. The location is excellent, very close to Firense SMN station. Check-in was a little confusing because it happened in another building, and reaching the room meant using a very small, old-fashioned elevator.

It's very close to SMN station, mercato centrale, and the leather market.
