Aleri

The hosts, Mario and Verena, took such good care of Aleri. It was spotless, thoughtfully furnished, and their digital guide had personal tips for food, markets, and sights around Florence. They even let us leave our bags shortly after the previous guest checked out, so we could check in at 12 pm, and helped arrange restaurant reservations. The apartment has a cozy, rustic Tuscan feel, with wall frescoes, terracotta tiles, arched doorways, wooden beams, warm colors, and a subtle floral scent. It’s well stocked too, including a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen, so doing laundry and cooking were easy. We could walk everywhere from there, with Firenze Santa Maria Novella station just three minutes away and the Duomo about 15 minutes on foot. We never needed local transport. We loved our stay, and it made our first Florence visit memorable. Highly recommended.
