Hostel Archi Rossi

The outdoor seating area was my favorite part. Sitting there with a warm drink made me feel like I was in Florence. This is a snug, quiet hostel about a five-minute walk from the train station, not a social hostel if that's what you're after. The shared dorm was huge, with lots of beds, and the cafe area has self-serve unlimited hot drinks and orange juice.

Everything gets cleaned daily, and it feels very safe because you have to show your key to get in. The location is perfect. The walls are very thin, though, so you hear noise everywhere, and the toilet seat was sort of broken.

I was traveling alone as a woman, and this was my first hostel stay. It went really well. I was in a six-bed women-only room and got lucky with kind, respectful roommates. The location is excellent, near the train station and central market, with an easy walk to the other major sights and museums. You can use the washer and dryer for a small fee. The terrace and outdoor patio, along with the other shared areas, were lovely places to relax.

The kitchen is huge and well equipped, one of the best I've seen in a hostel. Staff were pretty friendly, and the bathrooms were good. There's free luggage storage and the rooms are clean, with a quirky feel. The first-floor outdoor terrace or balcony is sparse but lovely and peaceful for an afternoon break. It's also handy for both the train station and the tram stop to the bus station. I loved staying here!
