Assaporarte

There's always cookies and cakes out, and the room has assorted tea bags. Fatima is helpful with whatever you need. The place is clean and modern, and the location is excellent, convenient to everything.

We stayed for a couple of nights while visiting Florence. The hosts were lovely and accommodating when we were delayed by a few hours. There are three well-appointed, nicely decorated rooms and some great shared spaces, including a small kitchen. Since it was midweek and quiet, they showed us all three rooms and let us choose. The rooms were spacious too. Assaporte made a lovely base, and the location was ideal for walking everywhere. We parked near the station, then walked about five minutes to Assaporte. The garage was outside the restricted zone, so there were no issues. I'd recommend it if you're spending a few days in Florence and want to stay centrally.

Check the cancellation terms carefully. I was assaulted and robbed in Rome and had to leave the country, so I couldn't get to this property or stay there. This was the only accommodation that refused a refund and offered a voucher they knew I wouldn't use. The manager or owner only needs to reply to Booking.com with the cancelled reservation and amount charged, plus their no-refund policy details, so Booking.com can refund me. Assaporarte wouldn't take the time to do this, even though it wouldn't need to refund me directly. I'm still waiting for the cancellation email or receipt. They also charged me the daily stay fee on top of the original cost even though I hadn't arrived at the property. A booking shouldn't be charged that fee until you get there.

Fatima was a pleasure to deal with and really helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was super comfortable. It's a beautiful old Florentine building, carefully renovated and close to everything. We had a fantastic stay.
