Giovanni really stood out. He was cheerful, helpful, and always seemed ready to do a little more to make things right. The General Manager was also around the restaurant a lot, talking with guests and checking that everyone was looked after. At Harry’s Restaurant, the whole team made us feel welcome, especially with our infant. They were thoughtful and accommodating at breakfast and dinner, which made our stay feel easy. We felt well cared for and would happily recommend Harry’s for its warm service and memorable dining. Five stars.

The hotel sits just beyond Florence’s historic center, so it was peaceful, while the main sights were still an easy 10-15 minute walk away. In the evening, the bar had a stylish, relaxed feel, a nice place to unwind after sightseeing. This was my first stay here, and the service made a strong impression. The staff were friendly and professional throughout, and Paolo and the concierge team helped with bookings and restaurant suggestions. Check-in was quick and welcoming. Our spacious suite was beautifully kept, with a classic design that suited Florence well. I’d gladly return on a future visit.

The staff’s hospitality was the highlight of our four-night Easter stay. Reception welcomed us warmly and explained our benefits clearly, including the $100 credit, which they extended to €100. We also got a surprise upgrade to a roomy suite. It had no balcony, but the extra space made things much more comfortable. Breakfast was satisfactory, and the restaurant had lovely views. The grand older building did have some nighttime noise that slightly affected my sleep. Also, getting there with luggage from the train station was a bit awkward. We booked through Chase (CSR) and Aeroplan, and overall had a very positive experience.

A couple of parking misunderstandings came up, but the valet was incredible and sorted things out in the end. The rooms were clean and spacious, and some staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Others gave us looks for no clear reason, though, and there was a misunderstanding where staff seemed more focused on extra fees than resolving it. We’d stay here again, but will probably choose another hotel next time we’re in Florence. That kind of attitude and aggression isn’t what you want on vacation while trying to enjoy the city and its culture. It’s a hotel for international travelers, so the contempt felt out of place.
