B&B Hotel Delle Tele

We stayed in the Michelangelo room and had a great view of the street. The location is awesome, near the station, the Piazza, the Uffizi, shops, restaurants, and a supermarket. Peking restaurant is only a short walk away and is worth a visit. After 8p, I liked using a key to let myself through the hotel's huge doors. The staff were friendly and helpful. Past the reception desk, you can find glasses, utensils, plates, a corkscrew, and wine glasses. There's also a very small, cozy lounge with a television. Just keep in mind that voices carry between rooms, so be considerate of the neighbors and keep conversation quiet. We traveled here in February 2024 as part of a 25 day European trip.

We got a nice surprise at the last hotel of our Europe trip. We booked the standard, cheapest option online and ended up with a two-bedroom flat. It's not a perfect hotel, but they did their best with what they had. The location works well, not far from the Center or the Main Tram, and we walked everywhere since things were close by. The streets are busy, though, so expect noisy nights and mornings. Police or ambulance sirens seemed to go off pretty often. It's like a house with windows, so you hear those sounds too.

The location is perfect, and check-in was easy. We could also leave our bags there on the last day after check-out. Breakfast at a nearby trattoria was pretty okay. Sound insulation is the issue. You can hear people talking in other rooms, and drunk guests shouting as they come back to their rooms at 1 am. Bring earplugs and it's a quite good choice.

The location in a historic building in central Florence is great, but the rooms feel dated and the elevator is old. What really affected my stay was a noticeable sewage smell in the room. It made the experience unpleasant and would make it hard to enjoy staying here. Management should address it promptly for guests' comfort.
