The staff were great and breakfast was generous. From the windows you can watch the city at work, though if you're on the market side, expect tents to be set up morning and night. A sound machine might help. There are steps, and although it's within walking distance of the station, finding the place can be tricky at first. To avoid the street vendors, take the route behind the tents. Florence was the only place where someone tried to open my wife's backpack while she was wearing it. Luckily, we had security packs.

The yellow room was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed, a complimentary minibar, and toiletries. We also had a nice view of the market, and the noise wasn't an issue for us; we used background sound from our phone or the TV when needed. Breakfast was served every day with a good selection of sweet and savoury food. The central location made exploring Florence easy, and check-in and checkout were simple. Staff were lovely and attentive, especially the women serving breakfast. We stayed three nights at Il Mercato. Alessandre kindly confirmed our credit card portal reservation by phone beforehand, and when we struggled to find the exact building, the staff quickly answered and directed us. We'd gladly return and highly recommend it.

The staff and owners were warm, helpful, and genuine, and the communication was better than at some five-star hotels. Our room was clean and fresh, comfortable, thoughtfully decorated, and had so many things we hadn't expected to find. They know exactly what this place should be and deliver it perfectly. Thanks for the memories, and great job!

We were in the yellow room for two nights. It's spacious enough for four, with a king-size bed and a sofa bed, and was spotless. There was a coffee machine, safe, air con, hair dryer, and a mini fridge stocked with different free drinks. The B&B is very central, a few steps from il mercato centrale and about a ten-minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Getting in requires two codes, plus a separate one for the room. Breakfast was continental and nothing special, but we had a very comfortable stay and would return.

Mario was incredibly kind and arranged an early breakfast for us because we had an early checkout. The spread was fresh, the coffee was amazing, and there was a great selection of baked goods. Our room overlooked the Central Market and had all kinds of useful amenities, including a coffee machine, several kinds of coffee and tea, and a minibar with drinks included. We found this beautiful B&B by chance and had a wonderful stay. It's right in the Central Market, with lots of food options open until midnight. Most popular sights are a 5-8 minute walk away, and Santa Maria Novella station is about five minutes away. We spent three lovely days in Florence and highly recommend the place.
