Residenza Giotto

The room was just the right size for my wife and me, and the bed was so comfortable that it felt like home while we were there. We felt very safe going in and out through two security doors. It was peaceful at night, too, even though the place is right in the middle of all the action. Residenza Giotto is beside the Duomo and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Priscllia was amazing: she sent clear directions, checked on us before we arrived, and then gave us a very friendly introduction to Florence. Thanks for making our stay that much better. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in the center of things.

The location, just steps from the Duomo, made everything easy, and the atmosphere was peaceful. WiFi was fast, the rooms were spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly during the warm Florence days. For an affordable hotel in such a central spot, Residenza Giotto surpassed what I expected. Every staff member I met was welcoming and helpful. Their restaurant and sightseeing suggestions made the trip special. I’d happily stay here again.

Marco was a good host, if a little eccentric. We couldn’t find the place, so he came up the road to meet us and guide us back. The entrance was tricky to spot: maps brought us to the right area, but the small, dark brass sign was about 8 feet up the wall. The room was very small, which didn’t matter for our one night, but it would be tight for a couple staying longer with several large bags. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Florence. The Duomo is a short walk away and visible from the room’s back doors, with shopping in one direction and museums, statues, and bridges in the other.

The view of the Cathedral, Duomo, and Bell Tower from our semi-private balcony was a real treat. The hotel is very central, the room was cleaned daily, and the updated linens and decor were nice. There were good lighting options, and our host and the cleaning staff were kind and accommodating. We appreciated the host’s clear ways to contact him and his recommendations. Not every room gets that view, so we felt lucky. Check-in was the one confusing part. We arrived early, and it was difficult to get into the building unless the host or cleaning staff were there. Once we were checked in, the instructions for entering the hotel and room were clear. We loved the stay and would come back to Florence someday.
