The service really made this stay. We had drinks at the bar both nights, and the lovely man at reception brought complimentary olives and other snacks. He also offered to help with our bags and any questions. Breakfast in the garden room was fabulous, with great service again. We had two rooms for two people each during our two-night stay this week. The rooms were spacious, had good pillows, and came with air conditioning, which was invaluable in the hot weather. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the duomo. A big thank you!

The room had just been refurbished, and the lounge and outdoor area were very nicely decorated. It’s a lovely hotel with lovely staff, in a quiet area without traffic noise or late-night revellers. The walk to the center is a bit far at around 30 minutes, and the tram only saves about five minutes.

Dario, the host and owner, was really attentive. Dinner was yummy, especially the chocolate dessert, which was so good it made my eyes roll back with delight. The hotel is charming, with proper keys that turn in the lock and fantastic shower pressure. I booked it because a friend lives nearby, just a five-minute walk away. So glad I did!

The staff were welcoming, the food was good, and the room looked great. But they switched off the heating on the second day, and we slept in the cold for most of the stay, even though the nighttime temperatures dropped to 4-5 degrees. When we finally complained, they turned the heat back on right away. That wasn’t a nice move. The booking description mentioned hotel slippers and a bathrobe, but neither was provided. I don’t mind bringing my own slippers. The point is, if you advertise a benefit, you should provide it. Otherwise, the hotel is great, very close to the main city attractions, with a supermarket five minutes away on foot.
