BB Locanda Dei Poeti

We were glad we booked here for our two nights in Florence. The location was perfect, within walking distance of all the main attractions, and somehow still quiet in the evenings. One morning we woke to birds chirping, which was so relaxing. We stayed in an apartment, and it was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Elisa was extremely communicative and accommodating. We arrived in the city really early, and she worked to get us into the room earlier than the usual check-in.

The hosts are cheerful and always happy to help. There isn’t a proper kitchen, but there’s an efficient coffee machine and complimentary sweets for a quick breakfast. We also appreciated the welcome gift of bottled water and cantuccini. The location is perfect, close to the train station and just steps from lots of nice places to eat. Rooms are simply but nicely furnished. The bathrooms are small, colorful, clean, and efficient.

For an inexpensive night near the train station, this place can work really well. It’s an easy walk from the station. The little B&B was fairly nice, and our room was clean and mostly comfortable. No one was at the desk while we were there, so we contacted staff by message. Some people may prefer that, though it wasn’t really our thing.

:) Easy check-in, and the hotel is in a great spot close to both the city centre and train station, with good airport connections. :( The WiFi and aircon weren’t great, and we didn’t see any staff until checkout. Since the light key is attached to the room key, you have to lock and unlock the door in the dark. I was charged twice for the room. I did get refunded, but it took five days. They also charge €10 per room cleaning, which I thought was crazy.
