I liked how easy and practical everything felt. The room was cozy, comfortable, and clean enough that my white socks stayed white when I walked around. I stayed two nights in a calm, quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. The bathroom was clean too, and I especially liked that the toilet had a bidet, which is very rare in Europe or hotels generally. It does lack quite a few things: tables in the room to put things on, a mosquito net for the windows, air conditioning, and dimmer table lamps. With those, it would be a great place for a short or long stay.

The sewage smell outside the rooms was awful. Work was being done in the building, but there was no warning, and the floor and bannister in the foyer were ripped up. Before check-in, the guy didn't reply to my online messages. He was rude when I asked for the code at check-in. Later, our flight was cancelled, so we texted to ask if we could stay another night. There was no reply, so I called. He answered abruptly, said “no sorry,” and hung up. We found somewhere else, then he texted the next morning to say we could stay another night. Hell no. He also somehow edited the review I left on expedia/booking.com to make it sound good. Avoid...

You can hear everything very loudly, even other guests just walking around, and it gets very noisy. The owner is rude, doesn't explain how to check in, and doesn't answer messages on booking.

The room was clean and tidy, but it's a long way from the city. The sights are a 30-minute walk away, or you can take expensive, unreliable taxis. Book in the city and save on transport.
