There were large black mold patches over the shower, and the room had a strange smell. I found another place as soon as I could. I couldn’t reach anyone at the guesthouse using the phone numbers they provided. After I complained, they offered free cancellation, then stopped responding. Booking.com refunded only about 10%.

We didn’t feel comfortable in the room because it wasn’t clean at all. Maybe that was down to our last-minute booking. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the city center.

The room itself was okay, but the management was terrible. We checked out at 11:30 instead of 10, our mistake, and the cleaning lady was really rude and nearly threw us out. We still carried all her room keys to the checkout location at the other hotel by the train station, then left our bags there to collect later. When we came back that evening, the manager had charged us for late checkout without warning. If there was a fee, we could have been told beforehand instead of being rushed out. I wouldn’t have minded 10-15 euros, but 25 euros seems too much when the room costs 60. I asked to speak to the person in charge, but they wouldn’t put them on the phone.

The rooms were quiet and tidy, and it was convenient for getting to the train station.

I booked through Expedia, but when I got there they had no availability.
