I had to leave early and miss breakfast, so the concierge offered to pack one for me. That kind of thoughtfulness was typical of my stay. The team got back to me promptly from the time I booked, and had helpful suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Casa Howard is especially convenient if you're arriving by train. The station is about a five-minute walk away, and I could reach the Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and historic center on foot. Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica is right next door, too. My room was huge and beautifully put together, and the bathroom was just as spacious, with a gorgeous clawfoot tub in the middle. I stayed one night in the first week of December, and it became one of my favorite places in Italy. I'd come back without hesitation.

We spent Christmas in the Drawing room suite at Casa Howard, and the stay surpassed everything we expected. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, and made us feel at home. The hotel is central, though set back a little from the busiest tourist crowds. A reception on the building's first level would make the welcome feel more luxurious, and a bar for guests would be a lovely addition. Beyond that, no complaints. I'll stay here whenever I'm in Firenze.

I stayed with my family, using three rooms, and we were all very pleased. The location is very good, and the hotel can help arrange private transportation. Between that service, the beautiful rooms, and the quality of care, it could honestly rate five stars. Strongly recommended.

Casa Howard always makes a visit to Florence feel special. The concierge team is ready to help and does it with a smile, while the staff are professional and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, carefully designed, and spotless. There's also a wonderful fragrance throughout the property. We keep enjoying our stays here, and I highly recommend this charming place.

A themed room like the Library Room, breakfast brought to the room, and a little sauna make this historic townhouse distinctive. Santa Maria Novella is a five-minute walk away, which worked well for an art-focused weekend on foot.
