We paid a lot for three nights in filth, with cockroaches, lies, and broken promises. The place was a dilapidated shack, really just a row of poorly maintained rooms with shared kitchen facilities that looked like they hadn’t been cared for in decades. Furniture had layers of dust, and dried food was still stuck to the stove. Calling it the biggest scam of our lives is an understatement.

The apartment was super tiny and not cheap, so it fell short of what I expect. Getting a heavy suitcase up the stairs was difficult. I only stayed because a friend was traveling on a budget, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

A cozy little place.

We found plenty to eat close by, including Pasticceria Dolci e Dolcezze and i Dolci e Dolcezze, both within a five-minute walk. There are also three cafes nearby and a Carrefour supermarket opposite; it has kosher food on separate shelves and in a dedicated refrigerator. Orsanmichele church and museum are 750 meters away, while the historic center, Uffizi Gallery, and Piazza della Signoria are about a 15-minute walk. The D'Azeglio bus stop is 400 meters away. The hostess was very kind. The room had Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a TV, and a bathroom, along with kitchenware and tea and coffee facilities. Da Giosuè Affittacamere Firenze is in an area with lots of entertainment venues. The heating behaved strangely and seemed to run regardless of what we wanted. The boiler did too, and hot water wasn't always available.
