The location is everything you could want, with Ponte Vecchio, museums, and the city center close by. Just around the corner is Antico Fattore, one of Florence's best restaurants, with excellent food and service. It's on a charming street, and the art along the way is worth a look. My room had everything I expected and suited one person well: a safe, kettle, mini fridge, wonderful bathroom and towels, and a lovely fragrance diffuser. That same scent welcomes you in the lobby. The hotel has different corners for reading, relaxing, or chatting, and the atmosphere was peaceful enough for a good night's sleep. Views from the room, dining room, and rooftop bar were unforgettable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with the dining room team working very efficiently. The concierge arranged an efficient pickup from the train station, and check-in went smoothly with my room ready. I liked the clever setup where the room key card also switches on the electricity.

This was our second visit, and we spent two weeks here, finishing in “The Room with a View.” The service was as friendly and exceptional as ever, whether from reception, the breakfast room, or the rest of the staff. It's so central that we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Florence. Already looking forward to coming back.

We fell in love with Hotel Orafi. Barbara in reservations, who has years of experience, booked us a very large suite arranged as two separate bedrooms with two bathrooms and a living room between them. Elena at the front desk is a sweetheart. It's a quiet, private jewel right on the river by the Old Bridge, Ponte Vecchio, in the heart of Florence. The location is unbeatable. The historic breakfast room has a painted ceiling and river views, and the buffet is the best, a romantic, luxurious start to the day. The bathroom and shower are pristine and beautifully made, and that was the best hot shower I've ever had anywhere in the world. There's a rooftop bar with indoor and outdoor seating and fantastic views. A classy boutique hotel that's hard to beat.

Hotel degli Orafi has a relaxed atmosphere, very helpful staff, comfortable beds, and a lovely mix of classic decor and modern hotel comforts. From the rooftop bar you get spectacular views of the area, while the breakfast room looks out across the Arno. It's a historic gem by Ponte Vecchio, a short walk from the Uffizi and other attractions, and an excellent base for exploring Florence.
