Rita Room

We had a good stay on a quiet street, just a short walk from the sights. Our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, heating, and a fridge and coffee maker that both worked perfectly. Rita was very friendly and let us leave our bags in the room after checkout until our train. Breakfast at “Da i Cugini” was very good too.

The low price is the one thing in this room's favor. It's not too far from the center, though there are closer places, and the basics are there, but everything feels very cheap. The room is like a converted storeroom, with a basement feel, a flimsy door and lock, and a window that's too small to let in much light. The furniture is bargain-basement, and the TV is smaller than my computer monitor and only gets Italian channels. There are no plugs by the bed, and both Wi-Fi and 4G are very weak. In the bathroom there's nowhere to hang towels near the tub and no toilet paper holder. The tub is uncomfortable, and the water takes about a minute to warm up. You can only pay in cash, which should have been a warning sign.

We arrived at 8:30 in the morning, and the woman still let us check in that early. She was really nice, and the room was comfortable and clean. There were so many books in the apartment that you won't get bored 😂

A nice little private apartment in a central spot, with the main attractions easy to reach on foot.
