The staff were friendly and always smiling, and I loved the room. It’s close to the centre too. I just wish breakfast had a bit more variety, maybe cheese and another kind of egg.

The hotel was quiet and peaceful, away from the crowds, so it seems better for couples or anyone after a calm stay than for big, rowdy groups. From here we could walk to the piazza, and it’s near Santa Maria Novella station, the bus station, and a public park. The outside of the building looks old, but inside everything seemed newly renovated and almost brand new. Entry to both the building and our room uses a code instead of keycards. Our room and bed were bigger than most we’ve seen in Europe, with plenty of space for luggage, plus a balcony, kettle, and fridge. The bathroom had a bidet, heated rack, and two shower heads, one overhead and one removable. The shower might feel a bit tight if you’re on the bigger side. It had everything we needed for somewhere to rest, shower, and head back out touring or walking.

We only stayed a short time, but had a great experience and the room was perfect. Giovani was outstanding. Thanks! Erick

Giovanni and his family run the hotel themselves, and it gives the place a warm, friendly feel. The service was excellent, and Giovanni even helped us with our large suitcases. There’s an elevator for the upper floors, breakfast packages, and dispensers for still and sparkling water. If you want to try local bread, there’s a bakery across the street. The interior is tidy and clean, with nice renovations made after the pandemic. The photos on Google Maps from before 2022 are old. It’s a real hidden gem, and we’d definitely stay here again if we return to Florence.
