The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast kept us satisfied with fruit, yogurt, assorted desserts, and cold cuts. We also loved how close everything was: the station, the city center, and major sights like Florence Cathedral were all within walking distance. Our only suggestion is about the layout. The high ceilings and room size were fine, but the bathroom seemed to take up more space than needed, leaving the bedroom a bit tight. Its window also felt exposed from the upper floors because the curtain was so thin. A little more privacy there would make an already pleasant stay even better. Thanks, and we hope to return :)

Getting around was easy, whether we wanted to explore Florence on foot or head to nearby towns by tram or train. We had a great time in the city, and staying at Hotel Porta Faenza was part of that. We booked two weeks for September 2025 through the Hotel Porta Faenza website and got the top-floor room we’d asked for. The proprietors were helpful and took care of all our email requests. Our room was clean and pleasant, and the double glazing kept it quiet on the third floor even though the street stayed lively late into the night. Breakfast was more than enough, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The twin room is spacious, and breakfast includes vegan options. Just be aware that the €6 nightly city tax is paid at checkout and isn’t included in the price shown on booking sites.

A charming little place, about 5-10 minutes on foot from the train station. Our balcony room was lovely, and so was the painted ceiling. The staff were attentive and sweet.

I’ve travelled independently for over twenty years, and Hotel Porta Faenza gave me remarkable value for the price. The affordable room, helpful staff, and breakfast all made me feel looked after. It reminded me of a less greedy time. I’ll be back next time I’m in Florence. Please stay just as you are. Grazie per tutto!
