The location and price look tempting, but the hassle wasn’t worth it. We were lucky to stay only two nights. On the second night, the electricity went out during a heatwave, leaving us without air conditioning, lights, Wi-Fi, or a way to charge our phones. We tried to get help from the owner, but he yelled at both me and my boyfriend instead. The problem was never fixed. We had to sleep with the windows open for air and woke up covered in mosquito bites.
The only good thing was how close it was to the city center, which didn’t make up for the rest. The room was dirty and there was no air conditioning, just a fan that irritated our ears all night. It was a very hot evening, so we opened the windows, and the mosquitoes made a meal of us all night. It was a night straight out of Dante's Inferno. I could write a whole book about it, but the main thing is that we paid a modest €140 for a night of absolute terror.
The food was good. I think it might have been even better served hotter.
