Gianna's B&B

It's a quaint room in a great spot for meals, sightseeing and exploring Florence on foot. The beds were comfortable, and the room had plenty of space for three of us, my wife, granddaughter and me, during our week there. It was very clean, and Giovanni brought a lovely breakfast each morning. He's a joy to deal with. On our departure day, he even got up at 3:30 am to see us off and make sure the taxi arrived on time. The location also made it easy to walk around the main sights, with the narrow cobblestone streets adding to that old Europe feel. My only concern is for older guests or anyone who struggles with stairs. There are two flights up to the room, then a spiral staircase to the bathroom. I found that a bit of a struggle at 72, with bad hips and knees, but the many good points made it worthwhile. I'd stay again if we return to Florence.

Our host made us feel very welcome and took time to suggest things to do and places to eat. The room was spacious and clean. As other reviews mention, there are lots of stairs to reach it, with no elevator, and the bathroom is up another level in the loft. The location is close to all the action in Florence. It can be noisy outside until 2 am, so I'd suggest earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

John went out of his way to help us reach the airport when the concert crowd had taken all the taxis. He was so helpful throughout, and we really appreciated it. We stayed two nights during a five-week trip around Europe, and the place made a lovely stop. It’s an easy walk to Florence’s main sights and the train station. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with air conditioning. The bathroom is up a spiral staircase, but getting to it was easy. Breakfast came as a plate of delicious fresh pastries, still warm, with fruit, yoghurt, cereal, coffee and juice. A real pleasure to stay here, and I’d happily recommend it. Thank you!

The host did a lovely job making us feel at home and served a great breakfast. The place is cozy and close to the center, right in the middle of Florence. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
