The place was affordable, but we won’t rent it again. There were only four towels for nine days, and when we asked for fresh ones, they tried to charge us €35. We were also charged €6 per person in taxes on arrival, which hadn’t been mentioned when we booked. The pillows felt awful, like they were stuffed with foam scraps. There were no blankets on the beds, and the king-size mattress was dirty and in deplorable condition. Nobody took out the trash or changed the bedclothes. We got just two rolls of toilet paper for the whole nine days, and the kitchen oven didn’t work. The air conditioning only worked in one area at a time, so turning it on in the kitchen meant we couldn’t use it in the bedroom or bathroom.

The owners were really nice and easy to deal with. Inside, it’s very basic but everything was clean, and there’s a small balcony that’s nice for breakfast or a coffee outdoors. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk to the center, including the dome and train station.

It’s a reasonable option for a family, with comfortable apartments, a spacious bathroom and other amenities. The city center is quite far away, though, so the location isn’t especially convenient. Also, be careful not to leave anything behind, because they won’t return it.

We’re not there yet, but the apartment is already a disappointment. It’s tacky and poorly maintained, with scuffed walls, peeling wallpaper and a kitchen outlet that looks like it could fall off. The bathroom has no window, the toilet is attached to the sink, and there’s no legroom. I don’t know who designed it, but they could at least have used a sink without a cabinet underneath. The closet smelled bad, there was no hair dryer or even a bottle of water, and the shutters have fixed slats that let light in. We couldn’t sleep. The basement room was literally a cold, damp cave. There’s no privacy either, since the two rooms connect and have no doors.

I stayed in the apartment on June 13th and 14th, and it was a terrible experience. When I was leaving, the door blew shut in the wind before I could do the final check. I called the guy who had brought me the keys, but he didn’t answer; I texted, but she didn’t reply. I’d left my makeup bag and the Guess pants I’d bought the night before. When I noticed while unpacking, I called Mirko, the guy who gave me the keys, and he gave me his office number. They don’t answer calls, only texts. I explained what happened, but they said the items had been thrown away and then blocked me. The other problems weren’t the main issue, but they added to the awful stay: the beds were dusty, there was no hot water, and nobody answered the phone. I got a text telling me to call the number on the boiler. There was no parking, so I had to leave the car more than a kilometer away. On the night of the 13th, four Spanish people who had booked there knocked on our door, desperate for help. They didn’t speak Italian and had already waited over two hours for someone to check them in and leave the key. I spent almost an hour calling and texting with them. I’ll definitely never go back. 😩
