Hotel Giglio

Marco and Manuela were very friendly and informative. Breakfast was included and really nice. The room and bathroom were clean and quite spacious, and it’s a good spot for walking around or catching the tram.

The warm owners and home-like feeling made my stay memorable, unlike the big impersonal hotels that leave no mark in your memory. Hotel Giglio is family-run and has a genuine Italian atmosphere. My room was clean, the bed comfortable, the air conditioning quiet, and the WiFi fast. The bathroom wasn’t luxurious, but it suited the hotel’s classic style. It’s just a few steps from the busy tourist center and a 12 min walk to the Cathedral. The T2 tram line also makes it easy to get there from the airport. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were a little plain, but clean, with good air conditioning and a good-quality ensuite bathroom. The hosts were kind, considerate, and helpful, and everywhere in Florence was easy to reach on foot. Getting from the airport was simple and efficient: turn left as you leave, and there’s a tram stop. About 30 minutes later, you’re outside Hotel Giglio. I recommend staying here.

The owners were super friendly, and my family loved our three-night stay. Our room for three was spacious, as was the bathroom, and the air conditioning was a big help in summer. Duomo and Uffizi were close by, walkable or reachable by public transport. Breakfast was great, with cappuccinos, toast, yogurt, pastries, and more. They also have ice, which I appreciated since I like cold drinks. I asked them to fill my water bottle with ice each day, and there’s a small fridge in the room. Soap and shampoo were provided too. The only downside for me was that fresh towels were provided every 3 days, and an earlier change cost 2 euro. I like having clean towels more often.
