Grand Hotel Adriatico

We were on a higher floor and had a lovely view over Florence's rooftops. The hotel is well placed for exploring the city, and our room was clean and spacious by Italian standards. Breakfast had a good range beyond just the Italian basics. The staff were very nice, especially Betty at breakfast. Grazie per tutto!

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the best I'd slept in during our time in Europe. Our room also had plenty of storage, a big English-language TV, and a spacious layout, though the bathroom was smaller and the shower quite narrow. The staff were friendly and happy to chat, and on our last day they held our bags and gave us a bottle of water. The central location meant we could see a lot on foot, with shops and restaurants close by. There was a brief hiccup at check-in because the hotel had recently changed systems and couldn't find our booking at first, but once it was sorted they showed us to the room. I'd stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

The staff were courteous and quick to help, with useful travel advice and recommendations. Breakfast had plenty of good choices, and the hotel was clean and felt safe. Our room was comfortable and a decent size, though it needed some maintenance. We were first put on a lower floor, then moved higher up, where the room was much better. Like many Italian hotels, it has a retro boutique feel. SMN rail and bus station are nearby, which worked well for using Firenze as a base to tour Tuscany. We could also walk easily to the main sights. Thanks to the team for making Florence memorable. I'd be happy to come back.

The hotel felt secure and the room was clean and comfortable, though it may need some maintenance down the road. It's in an older part of Florence, within easy walking distance of the railway and historic areas. There's a laundromat outside.
