The hotel was extremely clean and well cared for. Breakfast and happy hour drinks were included, and the staff were welcoming and so helpful. When our airline lost a bag, they called on our behalf right away and had it delivered by morning. During a night away in a nearby city, they stored our bags and had them in our room by the time we returned the next day. The hotel is a three-minute walk from the bus stop, five minutes from Ponte Vecchio and 15 minutes from the main train station, so seeing the city was easy.

Staff were polite and listened when I raised the problems, but nothing was resolved, and nobody apologized for amenities we’d paid for but couldn’t use. They offered a small box of chocolates as compensation, which didn’t feel appropriate for the price or room condition. Overall, the stay fell short of expectations and the rooms didn’t match the online advertising. We were in Italy for three weeks and stayed at seven hotels. This was the only disappointing one. Before arriving, I requested a quiet room. They placed us away from nearby construction, but gave us room 105, above a full-service commercial laundry. When it opened around 8:30 a.m., the noise and vibration woke us, and continued in both the bedroom and living area until the laundry closed for lunch. We were jet-lagged, and the soundproofing they mentioned didn’t block it adequately. When I complained, I was told the room is not usually loud, but this didn’t seem like a rare or unexpected issue given the business below. Room placement seems to make a significant difference for executive suites, so noise-sensitive guests may want to ask in advance. They moved us to another executive suite, which had its own problems: a broken kitchen door that couldn’t be used, a very loud shower, and an uncomfortable sofa that didn’t look like the online photos. A second room booked by our party had visible black mold in the shower. I reported the issues to the front desk during the stay and again at checkout.
The rooms and service are a good option, and the location is great. Our room looked onto an alley, with no view. When we wanted cooler, less humid air, only certain workers would turn on the air conditioning. The day shift was wonderful. The night shift said there were older guests and told us to open a window despite the street noise, but they eventually figured out how to operate our room independently.
The rooms were amazing, and the staff helped with everything we needed, from arranging private car services to finding restaurant locations. I’d highly recommend it, especially for how close it is to the Vecchio bridge.
We spent six days here and fell in love with the place. Our suite was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the rooms felt very modern. We especially liked the double shower heads. The location right by the ponte vechio bridge made it easy to reach everything we wanted to see. But the staff are what really went above and beyond. Huge thanks to everyone, especially Adriano and Marco in the morning, who took such good care of us. We said we’d come back with our parents, and we mean it. We don’t plan to stay anywhere else if we return to Florence. Hope to see you soon!
