The place felt far from everything, and there weren’t many cafes open nearby. Rusty’s Bar was the one exception, with great coffee, OJ, and pastries. It saved us by being the only spot open. The bathrooms smelled, though they were fairly clean, and there was just one fan to move the warm air around a very hot room. Service was basically nonexistent and handled by phone, which didn’t feel reassuring or safe as travelers from abroad. The walls were paper thin, and cleaning staff banged on doors. I could barely fall asleep and was woken up very early.

It was fine, but nothing stood out. The bathroom was shared, though the other guest and I never needed it at the same time. Rugs in the rooms and a runner in the hallway might make the building much quieter.

The rooms are basic and there’s no service at all. The location is ideal for visiting the historical sights.

We were asleep when someone suddenly entered the door code and opened the door without asking. It was deeply awkward for my partner and me. Before that, poor coordination between the hotel and eDreams had left me locked out for three hours. The room itself was dirty and run-down, and the sheets smelled awful. The advertising was misleading. Avoid this awful hostel. 🤮
