Hotel Casci

For Florence, which is such a touristy city, I thought this was great value for money. It’s a small, family-run hotel, with everything within walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful, and the breakfast buffet was small but good. I had a single-bed room and was completely satisfied with it.

Our room was quiet and away from the street, even though I’d worried the traffic might make it loud. The twin mattresses were set up as a queen and were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable too. We’ve just returned from Florence, and Hotel Casci made for a very pleasant stay. I’d recommend it.

The shower was the one problem: however we arranged the curtain, the bathroom floor flooded. Otherwise, this was the basic, no-frills accommodation we expected, with a great staff and close to everything we wanted to see in Florence. It’s an older hotel right in the heart of the city, just two blocks from the Duomo. The rooms are small, typical for this part of Italy, and breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful and gave us a great dinner recommendation.

The homemade breakfast was high quality, and the staff were always ready to help and provide service. They were extremely family friendly too. Hotel Casci is well placed for visiting the nearby attractions, and the experience was great value.
