Hotel Collodi

Our room was spacious and very clean, and being right across from the kitchen made breakfast convenient. Staff were so friendly, and the location was great, next to David and lots of shops and restaurants. Breakfast was a typical croissant, ham, and espresso setup, good enough for us but nothing fancy. We also spent some time on the upstairs terrace, a cute little spot. We stayed four nights, loved it, and would definitely come back.

It’s easy to walk from here to the train station and just about everything else, with lots of great places nearby. The room was spacious, too. But I barely slept because the bed was the hardest I’ve ever tried, with the worst pillows, and there weren’t enough blankets. We froze the first night, then got hot the second. There was also a weird smell. The front desk staff were friendly, but didn’t really know much, so don’t expect concierge type help. If you love a rock-hard bed, you might find the room perfect. If I’d been able to sleep, I’d probably have written a better review.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the central location makes this one of the best hotels in Florence city center. It’s close to the duomo complex and the city, a great base for exploring Florence.

The workers are friendly and speak English, which is always helpful as a tourist. The rooms feel lovely and cosy, more traditional than at the big hotel chains. It’s a nice, simple place if you don’t need anything special.
