Il Santo Stays

The terrace has an amazing view over Florence, and the rooms are spacious. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was okay. It’s well located, close to both the train station and the Duomo.

The lobby has a really comfortable feel, and the room was clean and spacious. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the main train station. Breakfast is basic.

The hot breakfast is a lovely addition, and the buildings feel much improved since I was here a year ago. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the upgrades help it hold its own against local 3* hotels.

The room was comfortable, with a decent desk, good air conditioning, and natural light through the window. It was cleaned and the bed made every day. The welcome drink was a nice touch, and the receptionist suggested I take it up to the rooftop. There are seats but no bar up there, and the view is spectacular. Breakfast felt a bit dated, with fruit salad from a can. Since pastry shops in town serve a really nice breakfast for a few euros, I preferred that instead. The place wasn't charming, but it was clean, comfortable, and I didn't feel ripped off. Better value than most Airbnbs, in my book. It was perfectly alright, maybe a little better than that. Florence has plenty of tourist traps, so a place without much wrong with it is doing well. I had a single room, and I was happy enough with it.
