I loved my time in Firenze, and staying here was part of what made it so special. I hadn't realized just how literal "Sulla Cattedrale" was until I opened the window and saw a wall of the Cathedral right beside me. The location is incredible, especially early in the morning before the other tourists are out. The room was clean, modern, and lovely, with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. The people were friendly, too. We arrived early and called ahead to ask about leaving our luggage until the room was ready; they let us, which I really appreciated. I saw comments about noise and light. With the window shut, I didn't hear a problem, though the room was pretty bright and I wished there were a heavier curtain. An eye mask would've helped.

The staff made this stay for us. They were so wonderful and flexible when our train was delayed, and they let us leave our bags for a few hours after checkout so we could keep exploring. They also suggested some great restaurants, including one we liked enough to eat at twice. The rooms were beautiful and the beds comfortable, and the location is hard to beat: right across from the duomo, about a 10-minute walk from the station, and close to lots of Florence's main sights. We'd stay here again 🤍

We stayed here on vacation and it ended up being the best hotel of our whole trip. Getting in from the street was easy, and they helped us over Whatsapp before we arrived. Our room was above the restaurant next door, but shut the windows and you couldn't hear the street at all. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable. After a full day exploring Florence, it felt like coming home.

The location is the only reason for the one star. There was a huge cockroach in the shared area, and when I tried to open the old wooden balcony door, lots of psyllids were crawling around it. I still feel traumatized when I remember it. Reply to owner: This was in 2023. I've attached a screenshot confirming our stay and a picture of what I described. I reviewed it on TripAdvisor right after we stayed, and thought posting here would be more useful.

The room was clean and had a window looking over the cafes below, and we felt safe throughout our stay. They helped us with everything we needed. Step out the front door and the Duomo is right there. Such a perfect location!
