IL Tornabuoni The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Hotel

The service was fantastic. The doormen, housekeeping team, and concierge were all helpful, and the concierge even booked train tickets for my parents when they were struggling online. Our room was beautifully presented, with a large bed, colorful interiors, and amazing views over the city. Housekeeping came regularly and topped up the complimentary water every day, which I don't always see in European hotels. We tried a drink in the downstairs bar while it was raining and also visited the Butterfly roof bar. Both were good, though the rooftop one felt quite pricey compared with other spots in Florence. The location is the main draw, very central and walkable to most places, yet calm and quiet like an oasis away from the busy streets. Definitely recommend.

The hotel bar was a highlight, with a relaxed feel and exceptionally friendly service. Thanks to Paolo, Adina, Marco, and the two other people whose names I forgot, who went out of their way to make our evenings memorable. Their warmth made the experience feel personal. At the front desk, the staff were good, and the woman made check-in smooth. She also gave me a local Florence map marked with the attractions. IL Tornabuoni Hotel – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is elegant and right in the heart of the city, with a lovely mix of comfort, luxury, and Florentine charm.

Our junior suite was upgraded to one of the nicest rooms we've ever stayed in, with 15th-century frescoes on the ceilings. It was comfortable, though we found the temperature hard to control. We had the buffet breakfast one morning and thought it was good. The staff at Il Tornabuoni were all very friendly and helpful. The location is central, with everything an easy walk away.

The rooms are gorgeous, with very high ceilings, and a street view would be ideal. The location is hard to beat, and we'll absolutely go back. The hotel is very upscale and has a great breakfast, but be prepared for them to try to nickel and dime you. Breakfast was included for us. The wait staff brought fried eggs for my wife, but charged my daughter's scrambled eggs as an omelet with toast. It happened twice. Our room wasn't ready until 5pm, which was inconvenient, and the maid threw away fresh pastries we'd left in the room. We only got an apology later from the front desk. The gym also isn't open at convenient times.
