La Fonderia Firenze

Bring mosquito repellent and use plenty of it, there were mosquitoes around. We stayed in a comfortable two-level room that worked really well for the kids. The place also has a cozy patio and a shared kitchen area. It's a great stop in Florence, with the main sights, including Ponte Vecchio, about a 15-minute walk away.

Breakfast had plenty of choices and was delicious. The woman who greeted us was pleasant and helpful, too. We loved the room with its patio, and although the garden was small, it felt very private. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, with everywhere reachable on foot.

The hosts were so kind to us after we had a terrible robbery experience on the way from Pisa to Florence. They let us leave our car, which had a smashed window, in the private car park and gave us a bottle of wine. The B&B itself was tidy and clean, with comfortable beds. I didn't sleep much because of what had happened, but under other circumstances we would have loved staying here. Thank you.

The standout for us was the friendly staff, whose service was outstanding. They were accommodating and gave us great suggestions for places to visit in Florence. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, and breakfast was fantastic. From the moment we arrived at this lovely B&B, we felt welcome and at home. We'd love to return!
