La Terrazza Su Boboli

Getting around was easy, with bus stops right outside and taxis parked by the circle. You can buy bus tickets at tobacco shops, and there was one close by, as well as banks with ATMs. We had to pay cash in the end because the card machine was broken, though that could happen anywhere. Barbara was friendly and accommodating from the time our booking was confirmed. The room was clean, spacious, and better than we expected. She gave us a map and helped us figure out where to go. Breakfast was good and just what we needed, without being over the top, and worth the price. The city is small, and this place really adds to the charm of being in Florence. We'd happily stay for weeks.

We found it ideal for four nights of exploring the city. It's about a 15-minute walk to the river, and from there it's easy to reach everything. The staff were very helpful with sightseeing information and restaurant reservations. There's a terrific café and pizza place just a few steps up the street, both worth a visit. The room was very clean and comfortable, and having on-site parking for a fee was a real plus.

Luigi and Barbara were lovely hosts and gave us plenty of tips for restaurants, sights, and getting oriented around the city. Breakfast was good and nicely presented, with Luigi playing beautiful Italian music while we ate. The room was spacious, and the location was really good and easy to find. I loved staying here and would come back if I'm ever in Florence.

Osteria dell'Enoteca is a great dinner option, upscale food in a casual setting. Their Bistecca alla Fiorentina is known for being perfect, and it's more than enough as a meal with sides. There are also bars along the walk where you can stop for a breakfast cornetto and café. Mauro was a fantastic host, quick and easy to communicate with and full of good city recommendations. The apartment is clean and a comfortable size, with a hot shower, a very comfortable bed, and AC that worked brilliantly during our August heat wave. It was a quiet stay despite the busy street, and the walk straight to the Duomo and Florence's center takes about 20-30 minutes. Parking is underground a few doors from the apartment. The curved ramp is steep, slippery, and tight, but manageable, and there was plenty of space for the car once inside. It was a lifesaver having parking so close. The apartment is up a flight of stairs, and Mauro helped us with our bags. He also gave us Cantuccine cookies and helped carry our bags to the car at checkout. I can't recommend Mauro's rooms enough.
