Le Ortensie

A roomy, clean house in a good location.

This hotel is full of racism. Don't go :(

There was no air conditioning, just a fan running 24/7, and you really noticed in such a tiny room. In summer it was like a furnace, even with the window open. The street noise then kept us awake, though earplugs might help. The room and bathroom weren't cleaned during our three-night stay. The terrace was small and its plants weren't well maintained. Getting around took a long time too. From the station we needed two public transport connections, about 40-50 minutes in all. Ponte Vecchio was around a 35-minute brisk walk, so it felt too far from both the center and station. A fan just isn't the same as air conditioning.

We stayed in the attic rooms, which were bright and air-conditioned. The bathroom was shared with other guests, but it was spacious and well kept, with both a tub and shower. The three-story building has an internal staircase and a lovely courtyard garden. It's a good bed and breakfast in a quiet area, not too far from the city center, and the prices are competitive.
