The rooms were neat and the location was great. One thing to know: if you shower late, there may be no hot water left. Also, our room’s ceiling was really low, which could be difficult for anyone over 5’10.

We stayed in the Suite for our honeymoon and loved it so much we didn’t want to leave. It’s beautiful, cozy, and affordable, with impeccable cleaning staff. There was no street noise at all, which is surprising given how central the location is amid all the hubbub. The few flights of stairs on the way up can feel intimidating, but they’ll help you work off all the delicious Italian food on every corner!

The hotel is beautiful, well located, and serves a wonderful breakfast. The bathroom was very new and spacious. But the manager or owner seemed to watch our every move, even keeping an eye on what we served ourselves at breakfast. We felt very uncomfortable. He was efficient, but seemed in a bad mood and wasn’t nice. The stairs are incredibly high, and by the time you reach your room you’re exhausted. I wouldn’t recommend this place for older guests, people with disabilities, or families with kids.

N4U Guest House is right in the Historic Center, so you’re about 5-10 minutes from the Cathedral de Santa Maria de Fiore, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, many other museums, and restaurants at every price point. We liked the included breakfast and its good range of options. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and let us leave our bags after checkout so we could keep sightseeing. There are bus stops a short walk away, too. Our bedroom was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. One heads-up: even set to 18, the room temperature felt a bit high. Also, this place is on the 4th floor (#3) and has no elevator, so be ready for quite a climb. Something felt odd on checkout day. We left early to see Michaelango's David at the museum at 8am, then returned around 9:20 a.m. and found the hotel manager coming out of our room. He laughed, then reminded us that breakfast and checkout were until 10. We laughed too and didn’t say anything, but it was strange to see him peeking into or coming out of our room without any explanation.
