Nancy House

We could leave our bags in the building after checkout and pick them up later that day. The owner was friendly, and for the price the balcony view was great.

On our first evening, the host welcomed us warmly, handed us a paper map, and went through Florence’s sights and transport options in detail. The layout was handy too: each guesthouse room has a roomy private bathroom, plus there’s a shared bathroom and a kitchen, so two people can shower at once. That made things more comfortable than at a typical hotel or guesthouse. Of the three trips I’ve made to Italy, this was my favorite guesthouse.

The hosts were kind and ready to help with whatever we needed, and I’d stay here again if I return to Florence. It’s close to the train and bus stations, with the centre not far away. The room is small but cute, very clean, and has its own bathroom. You can hear trains arriving, though closing the window and using the aircon helps if you need it.

Small, neat, clean room in a pleasant building, less than a five-minute walk from the station. The staff were very friendly. Recommended.
