Palazzo dal Borgo Hotel

Friendly, helpful staff made check-in and check-out easy, and were always ready with directions or recommendations. We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Palazzo dal Borgo and would happily return. The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed to come back to after long days exploring. The location was convenient for the main attractions, yet quiet at night. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

We arrived late for breakfast, but the staff still had fresh coffee and cappuccino ready for us. The multilingual front desk team were lovely, friendly, and attentive throughout. The hotel is in a historic building near both the train station and several sights. We liked the area, including the cute wine door nearby. Highly recommend for families and holidays.

We were celebrating a special occasion, and the team surprised us with a bottle of wine in the room. They also went out of their way to find us a table at a great food spot and arranged a 10% discount. The service was outstanding, and we had a lovely time. Our room was clean and spacious, and breakfast the next morning was an experience in itself.

We had an early train after checkout, so the handy distance from the station was a plus. The staff were welcoming, the room was spacious, and the bed and bathroom amenities were good. Breakfast was nice, with coffee made to order. The night was rough, though. We were on the first floor facing the road, where a drain grate rattled loudly whenever cars drove over it. The bigger problem was the mosquitoes. Even with a plug-in repellent, we were bitten all over our hands, feet, and calves. I counted 12 bites on my left hand alone. When the grate wasn’t keeping us awake, mosquitoes were buzzing around as we tried to swat them. I got a photo of one in the morning, looking very well fed. After heavy overnight rain, there was also a large pool of water in the corridor.
