The palace's art collections were one of the highlights of our Florence trip, especially the Palatine Gallery, with Medici paintings by artists including Raphael, Titian, and Rubens filling the walls. We also visited the Royal Apartments, whose furnishings and decoration are lavish, and the Gallery of Modern Art, which traces Italian art from the 18th century into the early 20th. The Treasury and Fashion Museum was a highlight too, with historical jewelry and textiles. We used a combined ticket for the Uffizi Gallery, Boboli Gardens, and Pitti Palace. It cost less and spared us separate ticket queues. Since the gardens are directly behind the palace, seeing both on the same day makes sense. The palace is a huge complex with several museums, so allow at least two hours to get around it. Its scale and collections give you a strong sense of Florence's spirit.

The rooms are exquisite, and the garden area was exceptional. The whole residence is so huge and impressive that imagining someone wanting a house this big feels over the top. Definitely worth visiting.

The fashion collection was especially engaging, from Renaissance clothing through modern Italian styles. Some garments are inspired by outfits in famous paintings. Elsewhere, the palace has paintings, sculptures, and works by well-known artists across periods from the Renaissance to more modern styles, including Impressionism. It's a beautiful, impressive place with a rich collection, and well worth a visit.

You can get quite close to the exhibits and walk among them, which I found interesting. It's one of the most beautiful museums I've seen. We couldn't get into the apartments because apparently our tickets were the wrong kind. Check the ticket details carefully, since general admission doesn't cover the whole museum.

The former Medici family palace has several great galleries, including modern art and clothing collections. There can be a short wait to buy tickets, though ordering online can speed things up. I recommend adding access to the gardens for the stunning city views. A great museum in Florence.
