Palazzo Roselli Cecconi

I booked a night at this hotel this year, but on the day I was due to check in, a relative died and I needed to attend the funeral. I asked if I could move the booking to the following week, and they refused. Under their three-day cancellation policy, they kept the room fee. I then asked for a receipt, but they refused to provide one. I’ve never personally encountered such a crass lack of empathy. The money was theirs to keep, but all I wanted was a receipt. Be careful about who you’re dealing with. The hotel’s management could care less about you. My reply: As of July 12, 2025, I still haven’t received the receipt. That’s why I dispute the management’s inaccurate account. I’d gladly remove this post if they sent me a receipt.

The location was hard to beat: an easy walk to the major sights, while our street stayed quiet and peaceful. I pity anyone who books in the old town and ends up amid endless crowds and noise. Service was very good too, with nice espresso on the little terrace in the morning and help with our bags and parking. The Palazzo was lovely, and our room was elegant and spacious. They did a great job updating the old building with modern conveniences while keeping its charm. Ours opened onto a narrow set of stairs, though, which kept it from earning five stars.

The tower room at Palazzo Roselli Cecconi was magnificent, with elegant design and breathtaking views. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece, full of historic charm and intricate details that reflect Florence’s cultural heritage. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Their personal recommendations and thoughtful gestures made us feel truly welcome. Florence is a stunning city, and this hotel made our stay even more special.

The room with a bathtub was amazing, and the air conditioning kept it lovely and cool. It was quiet, with a comfy bed and pillows, so we slept really well. Even the minibar was great, with a nice selection of wines, champagne and spirits. This is honestly one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The service was outstanding, and we were sad to leave after such a good time. It made Florence extra special, and we’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Firenze 😍
