The owner was wonderful and recommended some good restaurants. We stayed with four people over the Immaculate Conception weekend in a historic building. The room was beautiful, with a roomy bathroom and chromotherapy shower, a comfortable double bed, a mezzanine, and a king-size bed. The location was great, about five minutes from the city center.

The Paravia suite has three mini-apartments, Green, Blue, and Red, with a small dining area they share. You can make coffee, use the microwave, or have some herbal tea there. I spent two nights in the Red suite at Mr. Paravia's accommodations. It has high ceilings and feels welcoming, with everything needed for a relaxing stay in Florence. The double bed is on a charming mezzanine, and the bathroom stands out for its spacious shower with chromotherapy.

We booked a triple room but got a double with a sofa bed instead of a proper bed. Even though check-in was late, the room still wasn’t ready. When someone finally came to make it, they wanted to leave us the rather shabby sheets and blanket to put on ourselves.

Bright, comfortable, and spacious, the apartment is an easy choice if you want to be near cultural and tourist attractions. Many are within walking distance. Highly recommended.

The apartment and building are very nice, and the location is excellent. Getting there by car is inconvenient, and there aren’t facilities for cooking or dining. Update: the owner said we wouldn’t get fined for driving to the hotel, but we still received a ticket.
