Pitti Luxury Terrace by Mmega

The listing gave us the impression of a typical two-bedroom apartment, but it’s really one bedroom plus a bed on an open mezzanine above the lounge. There’s no door or privacy up there, and reaching the roof terrace means using an extremely steep, rickety staircase that passes through the mezzanine. Half our group had to sleep there, which was awkward and disappointing. The elevator only reaches level 3, while the apartment is on level 4. That was very difficult for one person in our group, who has multiple sclerosis and mobility issues. The kitchen was also missing basic things like knives, tea towels, and a chopping board. There was thick dust throughout, mold in the shower, and a broken shower door. I raised these concerns with the management company, but they haven’t addressed them. There are some real positives: the apartment has character, the terrace has incredible views over Florence, and it’s well placed for Piazza Santo Spirito, Pitti Palace/Boboli Gardens, and Ponte Vecchio. Still, the listing doesn’t accurately describe the layout, and we wouldn’t stay again.
