Relais Villa Antea

The room was clean and okay for the price, and the woman serving breakfast was nice. Breakfast itself was okay too. But the street-side room was very noisy at night, and the whole atmosphere left me disappointed after we'd looked forward to our Florence trip. We visited Villa Antea in September during a road trip around Italy. When booking, I checked that they could provide private parking for our touring car and gave its exact dimensions. They promised a spot, but when we arrived it was clear there wasn't room. We had a lot of electronic equipment with us for my work as a travel journalist and photographer, so this was especially unfortunate. It seemed the woman who greeted us cared more about her other guests and their normal-sized cars than honoring the parking promise. We paid to park on the street for two days. They offered no compensation, just said we'd been "upgraded" to a bridal room. Looking at the photos on their webpage, our street-side room didn't seem to deserve that description.

The hotel is a pleasant 15-minute walk from the city, and my wife and I liked being a little farther from the center. The room was beautiful, the bathroom amazing, and breakfast delicious. Staff were very helpful. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the center, though you can also catch a bus. The rooms are beautiful, with elegant decor, and the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A wonderful hotel, highly recommend it.

A huge bathroom, kind staff, and a lovely breakfast. This beautiful B and B is a quiet walk away from the city's busy activity.
