Porta al Prato Halldis Apartments

We stayed three nights in an apartment for three people, near the historic center. It was big, with a roomy living room and a small kitchen that had everything needed for cooking. The bedroom had everything you’d want, and the beds were comfortable. One possible downside for some is that cleaning is only provided for stays of at least four nights.

Elianora at the counter made our stay especially good. She communicated clearly, took her time explaining the city and places we could go, and didn’t rush us. The rooms were huge, with a private balcony and kitchen, and I loved the service and everything else about the place. If I come back to Firenze, I’m staying here again, nowhere else. Worth every penny!

The kitchen was nice, and we had a great view of the mountains. The rooms were very clean, and the bathroom and shower were great.

The location was great for catching a bus, the rooms were clean, and Eleanora at the front desk was very kind and helpful. But I’m giving it one star because the rooms were terribly hot. The AC units were there, but Management said they wouldn’t turn them on until the following week. I opened the window on the first night for some cooler air and got eaten alive by mosquitoes since there were no screens. I had horrible bites all over my face, arms, and back that turned into welts. I can usually sleep in most conditions, but our rooms were so hot it felt like a sauna. The next evening we asked if they could possibly provide a fan, and they said they don’t provide fans. I’d never stay here again.
