Florence's District 2 offices are based at Villa Arrivabene, where the Municipality of Florence provides various services locally. It also hosts interesting cultural events open to the public.

Until September 12, 2022, there's a wonderful exhibition here by Mario Navarrete Niño called "El Dorado." I highly recommend going if you can. The villa has a long history. It was once home to the American Embassy, led by G.P. Marsh (1801-1882), the first American environmentalist ambassador to Italy. The Academy of Fine Arts also deserves thanks for its extensive restoration. Every room has a fresco showing the history of the families who lived there, and the place feels enchanting and steeped in the past.

I went for a mycology exhibition, but the neighborhood headquarters was closed that day. From what I could see, the villa is very beautiful.

The bus was a little late. After that, everything was fine, though it may have been going a bit fast.
