Residenza Martelli

The breakfast is served at a nice restaurant around the corner, with a great selection and really good food. The location is excellent, and we had a side view of the Cathedral Duomo dome. There’s also a really upmarket supermarket next door. The room was huge, the shower room and toilet were a good size, and everything was well painted and working. It had remote-control air conditioning, a safe, a fridge for our own things plus drinks at reasonable prices, and free biscuits, tea, and coffee. Still, the room didn’t feel cosy or luxurious. It had bare painted plaster walls, wood-look vinyl flooring, no rugs or carpets, and no thick curtains, so there was an echo. The furniture was basic: wooden chairs and a tiny table that could barely hold a bowl of fruit and two cups, leaving no room for our things. The plain white Ikea wardrobe was nice. Even the little tea and coffee table couldn’t fit its own kettle, which was stored and boiled from below. It’s a good place with everything you need, but a few cosy touches and more table space would help.
