Room Mate Collection Isabella, Florence

We slept so well that on our final night we nearly missed the train after oversleeping. The bed, sheets, and pillows were all incredibly comfortable, and the room itself was beautiful. The hotel staff were also lovely when we had to move our dinner reservation. They contacted the restaurant and texted us the confirmation, so we could get on with our day. The Dyson hairdryer and Nespresso machine were nice extras, too. The shower was small, which I suppose comes with a city hotel. We’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Florence. It was also perfectly placed for getting around, and it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Gucci’s store is right at the doorway. The hotel is lovely, and all the sights are a reasonable walk away. I’d definitely stay again. The room was beautiful, and the AC worked so well that I actually felt cold. My only real gripe is the lack of surfaces and outlets. There’s no usual spot for toiletries by the bathroom sink or in the shower, and there are just three usable outlets in the sleeping area. Since the only mirror is in the bathroom, you have to wait if your spouse is showering and you need to do your hair.

Davide Cittadoni, the Front Desk Shift Leader, made my stay memorable with how much care he showed. I’d left my sunglasses at a restaurant about 15 minutes away, and he called them several times before going there himself on his own time to collect them. He also helped set up courier delivery and kept me posted. He was responsive by email and friendly at checkout. Room Mate Isabella is clean and comfortable, with nice decor, and very well placed for exploring Florence. Most things are a 5-10 minute walk away. Highly recommend!

The AC worked really well, and Antonello and Augusto were wonderful. They made us feel special, and the staff really went out of their way for us. The location is perfect, too. My one complaint is that Netflix can’t be streamed on the TVs.
