Everything else was great, and the place is only four tram stops from the city center along a straight road. The radiators couldn’t warm the room enough, even though there was AC. The bed wasn’t comfortable either. It was a double bed made from two very hard single mattresses.

A low-cost stay, but the beds weren’t welcoming.

I was very disappointed to find that the bathroom wasn’t en suite. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the room description, and I definitely wouldn’t have rented it if I’d known. The original air conditioning didn’t work, so they installed a large indoor unit. It meant leaving the window slightly open, along with the shutter for the exhaust hose. That wasn’t ideal in 39°C (102°F) heat. The room was right next to the main road, so there was a lot of noise and I had to wake up at 6 a.m. None of this was mentioned when I booked.

I didn’t like it at all. The neighborhood felt really isolated, a long way from the center, and not very safe at night. Google Maps couldn’t find the place the first time we went. They required us to check in at a specific time, the rates were ridiculously expensive, and the bathroom smelled awful and made strange noises. We asked for a double bed but got two small beds pushed together. Terrible!
